Returning to the work of the Cymric Consciousness society 'Cofiwn' founded in the early 70's and demising in the mid 80's. This blog will inform on the beginnings of 'Cofiwn' and explain the inspiration for it being established and the aspirations that motivated it's advance and achievements. This 'Ysbryd Cilmeri' blog will in main be an introduction and at same time tell the story of the annual patriots gathering at Cilmeri 1966 - 2006 towards a future Adfywiad Gwladgarol Newydd.

Post Script: Once again I request Patriots to make more of an effort to make as many Patriotic Flags and Banners as possible, Ivy Leaf Flags as above are easy to make but not so the four Lions Passive 'Baner Llywelyn'. But make it we must, Toni Lewis RIP made loads during his life time, I have made a few too in my time and still have one which I am really hanging on to, so many others just ''disappeared''. Other patriots have made them too as the great one pictured below made by Sian Ifan (Good Template for you). Why do we need to make more of this 'Baner Llywelyn' not just because it is more fitting to have many more of these at Rali Cilmeri rather than 'Baner Glyndwr' but for another very important reason. How many Patriots realise that following the Conquest of 1282/3, not only did Edward create an English Prince of Wales but he also give unto posterity to these English Princes 'Baner Llywelyn' and to signify this English Sovereignty over Cymru they stuck an English Crown onto the centre of 'Baner Llywelyn'. To really rub salt into the wound, today when ever the present EPoW visits our Country he flies and flaunts this English version of 'Baner Llyewelyn'. Thus by making our own 'Baner Llywelyn' we shall be reclaiming this ancient Baner of Cymru Brehinol (see Urdd Brenhinol Cymru http://brenhinolcymru.blogspot.com/ ), not just 'Baner Llywelyn'. So, hows about it, it want be easy but it's not impossible, not a great deal of money just a lot of work but through the course of the year nothing in time to the great kick you will get out of doiing something really patriotically worthwhile. Then over the years ahead just maybe we will start to see more and more 'Baner Llywelyn' around the Cenotaph 1282 at Cilmeri in years to come. Go on! Do it?

Much easier to make is the 'Baner Croes Naid' (pictured here)also to use as a Campaigning Flag, signifying our demand for return of Y Croes Naid and other National Treasures stolen by Edward I between the years 1282 -3 - 4. Which reminds me to tell you to check out post at http://cofcenedl.blogspot.com/ regards suggestion for a Statutes of Rhuddlan Rejection Rally in 2009, 725th Anniversary of Edwards Parliament to implent Colonial Wales, it's here at Rhuddlan in 1284 that we witness the beginnings of Wales truelly being made an English Colony, of course made more reality by the 1536 Act of Annexation. Plenty of time to have produced dozens of flags & banners, I hope?
