IS SHE TO HAVE THE LAST LAUGH? In the beginning there was no doubt about the purpose and platform of the Cilmeri Commemoration, from it's foundation by the Patriotic Front in 1966, the annual Rali Cilmeri was as much politically Patriotic as a remembrance of our history. The Patriotic Political influences remained a strong well into the 70's until Cofiwn took over the organisation of this annual nationalist event, Cofiwn whilst not abandoning the Patriotic Politics completly saw the need for the history and it's commemoration to be brought more to the fore. This was in keeping with Cofiwn policy regards informing the public on this history and at same time promoting Cymric Consciousness Campaigning, not le
ast in it's major campaign against the festival of castles in 1983. However, following the demise of Cofiwn in the mid eighties the Cilmeri Commemoration diverted back to what Gareth ap Sion, 60's hero and long time ''Welsh Republican'' (he in picture opposite) as called the ''Athenian Democracy'', where by there was no organisation and more or less a bunch of ''Good Ole Boys'' would turn up to hand out medals to themselves, as if it was some kind of ''Oscar Ceremony" . A Cilmeri Commemoration complete with Patriotic Posturing in the the Pub with dramatic militant statements complete with lads in Black Hoods, nought but useless Patriotic Posing that had only enough hot air, not to start a struggle but just enough to blow up a few extra Xmas balloons. By the mid 90's I had moved to London but recieved in time information that the "Athenian Democracy" had kind of fizzled out but the Abaty Cwm Hir H
eritage Trust (run by Dr John 'Rocks' Davies, he with the big ''Osama'' beard in picture opposite, who also runs the Fforwm Hanes Cymru and it seems a so called Welsh Battlefield Society as part of his central Cymru empire building programme) had taken over organising the annual commemoration. Reports indicated that despite the move more towards commemoration of history in most moderate of ways, the event nevertheless was very well organised and attended. That was that! I thought, and was quite happy with this status quo, as if it was a choice between the so called "Athenian Democracy" and the ACHHT organised Cilmeri Commemoration, then the latter was no doubt the one I supported. About 2000 I recieved reports that a CYMRU 1400 and other ''Militant Nationalists'' as the Red Dragon Movement and Balchder Cymru, all of whom later became a ''Welsh Liberation Movement'' for a short while were attempting to organise their own more ''Militant'' Cilmeri Commemoration. At this time the Welsh Media were looking into this rather instand ''Patriotic Phenomema", the Welsh Media referred to them as "Extreme Websites". I checked out their websites, and in the main they were loaded with stuff, I have come to describe as ''Retro Welsh Republicanism" in so far as it obviously had a leaning towards seeking a revival of 60's Radical Nationalism with also perhaps an over fondness of a 60's ''Militant Nationalism''. How could I disagree wth that? well! I did because, I had been there and ''Bought the T-Shirt'' seeing it being destroyed by both the English state and Quisling betrayal, also I had long ago having given up on ''Crach Fodder Knee Jerk Style Patriotism". Thus dreading a return to the "Athenian Democracy", I suggested to many of my "Old Comrades" and other patriots to stick with the Status Quo of the ACHHT and made it known I supported they over any "Unknown Quanties". However, then came the matter of the Cilmeri Commemoration 2004 where Dr John ''Rocks'' Davies in collusion and collaboration with the Western Mail used a situation to drive out all who he considered a threat, to what I see clearly as is central Cymru ''Empire Building". The ultimate purpose perhaps was more clearly seen in the platform he had organised at the Cilmeri Cenotaph that year, one that favoured ''Plaidite Pacifists'' and a CND Anti - War Left, I am not Anti - Socialist but Ray Davies, Anti - Nationalist Labour Councillor being given priority speaker consideration at the Cilmeri Cenotaph? It was totally clear that both ''Rocks" and Ray Davies who were in collusion and collaboration with the Western Mail to help them see the Cilmeri Commemoration distanced from so called "Welsh Extremists" with intention of putting they, the self advancing "Moderates" back in the saddle. The above material in Western Mail prompted that year, for first and only time in the Rali Cimeri history, for Patriots to turn their back on a speaker, namely Ray Davies. All this caused panic in "Rock Ranks" and required that urgent patching up was required and this was done in 2005 where the representative of the ACHHT had an "House Meeting" in Llandysul with Gareth ap Sion of the "Athenian Democracy Good Ole Boy Faction'', Adam Phillips of BALCHDER CYMRU. Obviously differences were patched up, and by 2006 Cilmeri Commemoration was back on track as a very unified annual event. Indeed, following on this patch up it seems spaces have been created for all 'Patriotic Oppinion', or so it seems? I am however, not sure who is exactly organisating the event, on a new web site the names Dr John ''Rocks'' Davies, Sian Maredudd and an Albert Ward (of Pilleth/Bryn Glas concerns?) are listed as persons representing the ACHHT who sponsor this web site and thus I presume are organising the event in association with Balchder Cymru, see link below:

SO! All Well and good? BUT
IS HE TO HAVE THE LAST LAUGH? Whilst seeing that it is for the best that Cilmeri Commemoration is an event that seeks the broadest Patriotic Representation, if not so called "Patriotic Unity". Further, totally understanding that Cofia 1282 needs to be first and foremost Commemoration of 1282, at the same time we need fully appreciate the reason why it was founded, as platform for radical patriots, if it were not it would be a betrayal of those radical patriots, many of whom were imprisoned, killed or have since passed away, who had attended the Rali Cilmeri since 1966. Further, there must be understanding that the Cilmeri Commemoration is not just about remembering a long ago past, but also remembering the Adfywiad Gwladgarol Fawr against the Investiture of an Englishman as Prince of Wales in 1969. Not least the annual Cilmeri Commemoration must be about keeping alive the flame of WELSH RESISTANCE to the English Monarchy who seek sovereignty over our homeland. To this end the chief patriotic purpose of the annual Cilmeri Commemoration is to ever remain a font and focus of future Patriotic Opposition to any further attempts to foist an English pretender on us as an ''English Prince of Wales''. .Thus why do I say, Cilmeri at a cross roads? despite the fact that "peace has broken out" between the differing factions that have "jostled" for space at Cilmeri. Despite the fact that there on the surface appears to be some sort of "Unity" in organisation? I am mindful of the betrayal of Cilmeri Commemoration 2004. I for one do not turn my back on betrayers one minute and then go and jump in bed with them as quick, I therefore warn "Lay with dogs and you will catch their fleas". So beware, I seen certain signs at Rali Cilmeri 2006 which gives me cause for concern that there are amongst us people who I fear may want to divert and distract our attention from the true 'Ysbryd Cilmeri', so be watchful ok! So the Cross Roads I am talking about is the one that can lead towards a Road where Peid Pipers will lead you away from radical patriotic principle up a blind alleyway, there is a Road that leads back down the road to the ''Good Ole Boy Merry Go Around'' of the so called ''Athenian Democracy", then there is the Road that is towards the ''Dead End of Devolutionism'' which has brought about certain so called "Nationalists" seeking entry into the ENGLISH HOUSE OF LORDS. It will be very interesting to see if any ''Radical Republican?'' as ironically many patriots who attend Rali Cilmeri, describe themselves! Yes Very Odd! or indeed any patriot will speak on this matter from the Mound of the Cilmeri Cenotaph, We Shall See, indeed we shall?????????? Meanwhile read on:

.A new beginning, certainly for this blog, you will notice I have given it a new title Cilmeri Commemoration - Adfywaid Cilmeri 2007 - 8 - 9. Plus note new web address http://coffadcilmeri.blogspot.com/ I am quite happy and content with the renewed "Status Quo" at Cilmeri Commemoration, as far as it goes? but will by my own new direction here in this blog be more able to sustain a ''Pastoral Interest'' at least. However, not much more than that, as I shall be very busy over the coming years editing all our Cofiwn Films onto a DVD - Cilmeri Story along with getting stuff up on Your Tube plus Video Streaming in this and other blogs.
