CILMERI 1282 COMMEMORATION 2011

Returning to the work of the Cymric Consciousness society 'Cofiwn' founded in the early 70's and demising in the mid 80's. This blog will inform on the beginnings of 'Cofiwn' and explain the inspiration for it being established and the aspirations that motivated it's advance and achievements. This 'Ysbryd Cilmeri' blog will in main be an introduction and at same time tell the story of the annual patriots gathering at Cilmeri 1966 - 2006 towards a future Adfywiad Gwladgarol Newydd.

RALI CILMERI 2008 40th Anniversary of Rali Cilmeri 1968 Will Remember Fallen Compatriots.

.
The 1968 Rali Cilmeri represents an important event in Hanes Adfywiad Gwladgarol Cymru 1963 - 1969, in particular regards the Anti - Investiture Campaign. It was at the 1968 Rali Cilmeri that 'Afywiadwyr Gwladgarol' raised the stakes in calling for militant radical struggle against the Investiture. Hardly three months had passed by when a number of those who had called for such patriotic action and whom were chief leaders of the radical militant Anti - Investiture Campaign were arrested. Nine in number, they being; PF/FWA Anthony Lewis, Gethin ab Iestyn, Glyn Rowlands, FWA Commandants and Volunteers Julian Cayo Evans, Dennis Coslet, Viv Davies, Dai Bonner Tomos and Vernon Griffiths also David Burns of Cymdeithas Llywelyn. These nine patriots were to be put on trial at Swansea Crown Court for a number of months and three were eventually sentanced to further imprisonment, myself, Cayo Evans and Dennis Coslett. Of these nine, five have since passed away and thus at this years Rali Cilmeri they will be particularly remembered but so too will other patriots who were part of the ADFYWIAD GWLADGAROL FAWR 1963 - 1969. However, it will be interesting to see if at this years Rali Cilmeri, if a younger generation of patriots are up to calling for radical Nationalist campaigning against a third Caernarfon Investiture at some future date? We shall see, or will it be back to Tafarn Llywelyn for some Pint Pot Patriotism and then off and away untill the annual Dydd Dewi Parade and some more Patriotic Posturing and Parading which is more the norm these days?
