1966 In Alternative Welsh Nationalist History.
THE YEAR IS 1966 - A BIG YEAR IN THE ALTERNATIVE NATIONALIST STORY See p 11 of To Dream of Freedom. Please note I am on look out for a copy of a news cutting from the Sunday Telegraph with report on the first Cilmeri Rally. Further, can any one remember if the Western Mail or any other newspaper covered this first gathering of patriots at Cilmeri in 1966. Unfortunatly my cuttings record rather ironically has nothing on the first Cilmeri Rally, if you have please send me copies. Diolch yn Fawr. Gethin.
Of course the 60's was to see the rise of the White Eagle from the obscurity of forgotten mythology to become the 'White Eagle of Cymric Resistance' of the Adfywiad Gwladgarol 1963 - 1969. 
It is a little known fact that responsible for resurrection of this ancient legend and reponsible for designing the 'White Eagle Cross' (our own ''Cymric Cross of Lorraine'' in immitation of WW II Frence Resistance cross) was none other than the Patriotic Bard and Romantic Republican Harri Web. This 'White Eagle Cross' soon came to be seen painted on walls and bridges throughout the land. To be adopted and associated with the FREE WALES ARMY as their emblem, however the 'White Eagle Resistance Cross' was used by the 'Welsh Underground Resistance Movement' in general from MUDIAD AMDIFFYN CYMRU to MEIBION GLYNDWR. Those years of ''Armed Resistance'' are now in the past and best left there, let us have no doubt about that, anyone who advocates such today would only be a fool or an 'AGENT PROVOCUTUER'. We must never again witness such violance in our country, it occurred in the past because of certain circumstances and even if similar circumstanes arose again, I would not advocate violance as a path to follow. We have all graphically seen the results of where violance can lead to as in Ireland and Iraq at present where the innocent victims suffer for the beliefs of others. Certainly I would argue strongly against any political violance that injurs the innocent and particularly working people going about their lives and livlihood. THAT IS NOT TO SAY I AM A PACIFIST! Niether am I opposed to continued use of the 'White Eagle Cross' as painted on walls or used as a flag, for it does indicate we are not followers of the ''Yellow Poppy'' and remain RADICALLY MILITANT and far from being MODERATE in our PATRIOTIC RESURGENT STRUGGLE. Thus in this posting I illustrate the material below in tribute to the WHITE EAGLE OF RESISTANCE of the Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol.

2006 Marks the following significant 1966 anniversaries in history of
'ALTERNATIVE NATIONALIST MOVEMENT AND STRUGGLE'.
* Alternative Nationalists attend major 50th Anniversary celebrations of the Dublin 1916 Easter Rising, F.W.A. contingent led by Cayo Evans marches with Sinn Fein and the I.R.A. NB: This event needed to have been marked by a ''Contingent Cymru'' again participating in Parade with photographs of Cayo and Coslett also others being carried (Dai Bonner et al) also flowers need to be placed at Clasnevin Cemetery as in 1966. perhaps ''The 18'' - Parti Lliw - Cambria Band could participate next year?
* Celtic League Conference in Bangor, following this Gethin ab Iestyn and Toni Lewis are motivated to establish the Anti - Sais Front in Southern Wales which is later on becoming a national movement is re named PATRIOTIC FRONT. I am dealing with this with an article.
* July: Gwynfor Evans wins Carmarthen seat to become first Plaid Cymru M.P. NB: After the Carmarthen 24 Chwefror 2006 ''Flower Power Fiasco'' nonsense of turning ''PLAID?'' into a 'RAINBOW COALITION STYLE PEACE POPPY PARTY' with hardly any radical protest by the rank and file one seriously must consider that Welsh Nationalism will no more be found in this ''PLAID''. Some years ago we may have seen a rush by ''hardline Nationalists'' to sieze opportunity of occasion to establish a true 'PLAID GENEDLATHOL CYMRU' or at least hold a conference to discuss and debate Nationalism but no! me thinks this is bad news for Welsh Nationalism.
* July at Plaid Cymru Summer Conference, Lewis and Iestyn leave Free Wales Army to focus on establishing the Patriotic Front with their H.Q based at their newly opened 'Patriots Rest Club' in Cwmbran. (A Front Militia was considered but this idea was abandoned in favour of Street Protest Agit - Prop Action).
* August Plaid Cymru Conference at Dolgellau outlaws F.W.A. and Patriotic Front also Owain Williams is expelled from Plaid Cymru for being vice President of Patriotic Front. I am doing an article, see above.
* September, both P.F. and F.W.A. mount campaign against opening of Severn bridge by the English Queen. An anniversary the Neo - Colonial Establishment marked this year.
* October 21, one year to the day after opening of Tryweryn - THE ABERFAN DISASTER. NB: I do not think a Rally would be appropriate but individual commemorative tributes be made annually on this anniversary day will be most appropriate and if you have any children or grandchildren take them and tell them the story of this most painful of chapters in our nation's history.
* December, The Patriotic Front founds the annual Rali 'Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol' Cilmeri. An history of which is being published in this Cilmeri Commemoration blog, so no need for me to repeat here. However, I will remind that this year also marked the 50th anniversary of the setting up of the ''Rock of Cilmeri'', a fact most seem to have forgotten including the Welsh Media or does even tame stuff like that smack too much of HARD HISTORY for our neo - colonial crowd?
