Annual Patriotic Rememberance Roll Call at Cenotaph Cilmeri

I remind that it has been a tradition for a number of years initated by ‘Adfywiadwr’ Denis Coslet FWA Commandant (retired) to read out a Patriots Roll Call, naming those of our, fellow ‘Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol’ who have passed away. Denis himself used to record information on those who had passed away and annually read the roll call in a most dignified way. Upon death of Denis others have kept the tradition alive and at the 2005 Rali Cilmeri it was more formerly re - introuduced into annually ceremony with Gareth Westacott reading this patriots Roll Call also with great dignity. Hopefully this tradition will continue as an integral feature of the Cilmeri Commemoration and I suggest this is carried out towards conclusion of the annual Cilmeri commemoration and at same time ‘Ivy Crosses’ or flowers may be placed as well as small votive candles being lit in memory of our old comrades and fellow 'Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol'.

Er Cof Am Y Cilmeriaid.
Hopefully as matter of priority Y Cilmeriaid will appoint some one of good patriotic enthusiasm to continue work in adding names to the roll call and then ensure they are read out at Cilmeri annually. I would hope that for the 2009 Cilmeri gathering a book may be published with Bio – Pics on the many ‘Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol’ of Y Cilmeriaid who will have passed away by then. In the mean time could not some one or a number of persons obtain photographs of old comrades who have passed away, reproduce them A4 or A3 Size Posters and paste them to card as placards to carry on march to the Cilmeri Cenotaph or hang up on the fence around the ‘Sacred Acre’. Please do submit names of patriots you wish me to include in the above roll call with relevent dates and other information you would like me to include (short bio pic, personal and political), I will then improve on this roll call over years to come but doubt if I will be able to produce a book as described above. Do note Denis included a roll call on his book of poetry REBEL HEART.
Denis had two poetry books published both possibly obtainable from BALCHDER CYMRU (See their Web Site) of which Denis was a founding member and leader of until his sad death.
There are annual commemorations in memory of Denis Coslet and Cayo Evans organised by BALCHDER CYMRU, see their web site for further information and details. Please also note that there is on the web an official Cayo Evans Commemorative Web Site. Just do search on Cayo Evans FWA. Photos below are of old comrades commemorating anniversary of Cayo's death, Toni and myself at Denis Coslets grave after funeral. Final photo shows 'Adfywiadwyr' lowering flags as Toni's coffin is taken into the Cremetoriam.
It is of course not possible for major commemorations to be annually held for all contemporary patriots who have passed away but surely local commemorations could be organised. At the very least 'Adfywiadwyr Gwladgarol' should make themselves aware of where older generation patriots and former comrades are bueried and when and where possible visit their graves at least once in ones life time. I would suggest that local 'Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol' go a step further and do annually visit patriots graves to ensure they are well kept and flowers are placed. I suggest this be done all over Cymru on a suitable date as possibly 'Sul y Blodau' which is the traditional day for placing flowers on family graves as well. So think on it, if any one takes up this suggestion then photos of graves with info, plus of any rememberance activity will be welcome. I was once out walking around Beckenham Cemetary in South London at a November time and came across the grave of a Rourkes Drift soldier (See the colour seargeant in the film played by actor Nigel Green, that one not the actor but the soldier). Do you know the British Legion had been to the grave to place a Red Poppy in rememberance there, so we are not the only ones with long memories.
‘Cofiwn’.
ADDITIONAL MATTERS.
It is perhaps appropriate I reproduce photograph below, in view of comments by “Stifyn” in a so called Welsh Republican Forum, I myself shall reply in time but as comments in main were in reply to those made by a “White Eagle” who along with the “Machynlleth Spaceman” I am sure are capable of replying in their own defence of they and BALCHDER CYMRU. In some little respect I agree with some of this criticism but not all of it, much of it is totally mis concieved and out of order but then all will have their own opinions, no matter how rediculous they are. As far as I am concerned suffice to say, yes mistakes are being made but one must admire patriotic enthusiasm in times when little of it is about. Further, if it were not for those being criticised then Cilmeri Commemoration may be less well organised and colourful to say the least, I particularly stress this as one cannot fail to appreciate fact that many 'Cilmeriaid Newydd' are more active in support of Rali Cilmeri than some ''Hen Cilmeriaid'' many of whom have become ''Peripheral Patriots''. So please more credit and less criticism, my main concern however, is with regards derogatory remarks made against my former comrades Cayo and Coslett and specifically in annual Cilmeri gathering connection. TO WHICH I REPLY BELOW:
Adfywiadwyr Gwladgarol
Remember Old Comrades with Patriotic Pride.
The one big mistake that ''STIFYN'' MAKES IS TO SLAG OF PATRIOTS AS CAYO AND COSLETT. It is here that ''STIFYN'' goes beyound the pale to practically denigrate and disparage Cayo and Coslett as 'DRUNKARDS'', by any stretch of the immagination this is BLACK PROPAGANDA CHARACTER ASSASSINATION OF TWO FINE CYMRY AND HEROES. Such is not new to the servile establishment and paci - nationalist Cymry for was not Rhys ap Gruffydd, his wife Gwenllian and their followers called ''IMBICELES'' by fellow Cymry for resisting the Normans. Was not Lewis Lewis heroic leader of the 1831 Insurrection thrown into the dark corners of WASP ''Paci'' Welsh History that prefers Martyrs to Militants because these ''WASPs'' have always wanted to be England's lickspittals. Further, patriots should not be so stupid as to believe enemy propaganda about the FWA and any one with the slightest knowledge of such matters of resistance and revolution, will be aware that often the Freedom Fighters are killed off or fade away. Often they canot write their own history for many reasons, as they must ever remain true to their ''Oaths of Secracy'' forever for fear of betraying comrades or putting their familes in harms way. So please ''STIFYN'' pipe down on this one but may I suggest you make an apology to Cayo's Children and to the wife and daughter of Denis Coslett, I had many a ''run ins'' with Denis in the 60's about much but when I came to serve time as one of the nine I learnt very much what the word 'COMRADE' means. Years later I came to truelly admire Denis as ''salt of the earth'' and truelly one of the ''BAREFOOT WELSH DOGGIS'', I miss him greatly as I do Cayo and Toni. Trust me when I say, I have never seen Denis drunk anytime let alone Cilmeri, I have seen Denis hold Cilmeri platform together when it has been falling apart and he always did so with great dignity and respect. As for Cayo, here is a contemporay Welsh hero and ''STIFYN'' do not think for one minute you know everything about Cayo, you even spell is name wrong as it is CAYO not CAIO as the village. I know much of Cayo not least as the ''Preacher Man'' calling in on me in Dublin on his way north to help defend Catholics from Protestant mobs.
Pic: Robat ap Steffan (C) Shows Julian Cayo Evans FWA Commandant - in - Chief: Contemporay Welsh Hero and Cymric Folk Hero of the 20th century, see official Cayo Evans Web Site also search web for book 100 Welsh Heroes and search Tafarn Cayo, Caerdydd. A Capital City Cymric Patriots ''Watering Hole''.
Oh yes! I seen Cayo drunk but only once, I fear to remember how many times I and many other patriots have been too but not at moments or times of importance to an event or ceremony, at socials is another matter. Even patriots need to ''unwind'' from time to time but in later years I did observe the 'Black Panther' concept of drinking at members homes and not in public places. Alchahol does loosen the tounge and as the Brit WWII poster said ''LOSE TOUNGES KILL'', that may read as if I am to ''No Good'' but just remember this dear friends whilst I advocate Anti - Investiture III Campaign, it must be non - violent. However, such struggle may be the most pacifist of struggles but mark my words the Brit S.S. will still seek to undermine and thwart any campaigning. YES! This means they will have their ''LISTENING POSTS'' in Public House to pick up any scrap of information they will be able to use in their DIRTY TRICKS WORK. You Have Been warned!
SEVEN OF ''THE NINE'' ADFYWIADWYR GWLATGAROL ANTI - INVESTITURE REBELS.
Picture taken post 1969 at Tafarn Llywelyn (by unknown, please inform if you know who) shows from left to right Dai Bonner Thomas (d), Toni Lewis (d), Dafydd y Dug, Julian Cayo Evans (d), Denis Coslet (d), Vivian Davies (d) and myself, still very much alive and kicking, that is active in the 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol' cause and struggle. Although I must admit it is going to be less into being an 'Active Adfywiadwr' and more the ''pen pusher propandist'' via this and other blogs and web sites. (not shown in the photo are Glyn Rowlands and Vernon Griffiths, both also very much alive.)
As for the problem ''STIFYN'' has with patriotc medals, here I must agree that it can turn grotesques as at Glyndwr event in Machynlleth 2003 and I hope we see the end of such. Patriotc awards yes! but medals well? However, if you want to slag of such ''self awarding'', why not have a go at BAFTA CYMRU AND SUCH. Yes! go slag off Y CRACHACH NEWYDD - ENGLAND'S CLIENT TRIBE IN CYMRU, this ''Cymric Crap'' is ever awarding themselves self advancing ‘’baubles’’ all the time as they kill off 'Couragous Cymru' and replace it with 'CELEBRITY CYMRU' in their Gombeen Image', so why not dump on them? Who ever you are ''STIFYN'' you have good points to make but please give Adam and ''Balchder Boyos'' and their CAMBRIAN BAND A BREAK! The last thing you want to do is put your self in the same WELSH TRAITOR POND LIFE LEVEL AS DIC EDWARDS AND HIS 'FRANCO'S BASTARD' RUBBISH.
In conclusion you mention that you were active in Cofiwn, so I must know you but cannot place you, especially if you hide behind a ''Forum Handle''. You will know all too well that over the years that a number of Pobl Cofiwn worked hard and such was obviously seen in a number of ways, there are many patriots whose efforts will never be noticed and such will go unrecorded as the contributions made my many of those named in the roll call above and seen in the photos here. I will tell you this much as a great truth, your not alone in being critical of ‘Balchder Cymru’ as a number of things they do annoy me no end but may I remind you that many of they stand head and shoulders above the over abundance of Crachach, Gombeens and Shoneens that now plague this land. At the same time our cause is overrun with ‘’Devolution Dilletants’’ and "peripheral patriots’’ and then recently I have noticed the rise in certain circles of a few whom are so obviously "SMARMY GITS" self advancing their own devious self interests, I suggest any derogatory remarks be aimed at this ‘’Crew of Cronies’’, (The Shite that is rising to the surface these days) rather than good patriots and old comrades as Cayo and Coslett. So please how about a little refelection and apolagies as requested, it would indeed be worthy of you as I at least think I recognise a patriot who cares for the cause, even though I may disagree with much you have to say not least regard the CAMBRIAN BAND marching as soldiers, for god sake why not? They are not a folk band or part of the oh so folky ''TWEE'' scene but patriots they be and let them be seen as patriots appealing to the “people on the street’’ not those who frequent folk festivals or an EISTEDDFOD?
You mention Toni in your comments with admiration for much not least is playing of classical and folk music, I would like to point out that Toni loved marching music much more than anything else. Toni also loved uniforms and you must have caught Toni on a bad day as if he was in a good mood he would have regaled you as much as Cayo and Coslett with tales of the FWA (PF Volunteers). That does not make Toni any the less a patriot as the two other great patriot you malaigned, the line between what makes a good patriot or not is selfless dedication to the cause and struggle and if it’s over a life time all the more appreciated. This is why I remember with fond memories many of these old comrades who have passed away. I think part of the reason I no longer wish to attend the annual Cilmeri gathering is not just because I consider that far to many have ‘’LOST THE PLOT’’ or that there are those in attendance I would not wish to walk the same path in company of. I guess I have abandoned Cilmeri because now I see many ghosts of old comrades and I find that some what unbearable and encouraging of much sadness in my heart and mourning of the past.
However, unlike some I do not want to return to the 60’s, relive it or revive it which some at Cilmeri wish to do. I do not want to be a ‘Victim of the 60’s’ nor ‘Debris of to Dream of Freedom’, nor to I desire to wheep tears of despair or disillusionment in my beer at Tafarn Llywelyn. Thus I move on, to my mind Cilmeri 2006 is very much the "Last Picture Show" and I personally move on to Aberedw, perhaps “STIFYN” if you cannot face the crew at Cilmeri you will join I and others at Aberedw for some serious ‘Cofiwn Style’ Historical work but let us not condem the annual ‘Adfywiad Gwladgarol’ of the Cilmeri gathering – if only those gathered there could remember the ETHOS OF CILMERI, which most seem to have forgotten whilst others know little of? However, I in main focus now on Aberedw as there is a more truthful account of our 1282 history to inform of and whilst I am good at Anti - Investiture III rabble rousing I am leaving any future radical campaigning to the 'Cilmeriaid Newydd'. After all, I have been there and bought the T - Shirt, next time around I may sit it out and watch the special coverage on S4C, if it is still in existence? (Hope not, I want a true NATIONAL TV SERVICE, not more of the S4C/C4 style bastardization). I shall still from time to time visit Cilmeri Cenotaph for old times sake but as part of my 'TAITH COFFAD 1282' on way to the 'Cofiwn 1282' Sunday Rememberance Service at Abaty Cwm Hir. This of course will make things very difficult for the 'BRIT SECRET SERVICE IN WALES' As 'Tafarn Llywelyn' fails to be such the usual 'JAM POT' and Cilmeri Commemoration becomes much better organised than it has been in the past, so making it difficult for ''AGENTS PROVOCUTUERS'' to take advantage of for sinister purpose. SOUND ORGANISATION WILL FORESTALL SUCH OK!.
Hwyl!
Gethin.
