IF YOU HAVE ANY EVENTS YOU WISH ME TO LIST PLEASE SEND INFORMATION ASAP.
First off in the new year is a call to patriots to commemorate the start on 28 Ionawr of the Llywelyn Bren Revolt of 1316 at the gates of Caerffili Castle as described in earlier posting, Possibility for local patriots to organise parade to the castle for a rally. If that's not possible then at least a small commemoration and laying of 'rememberance tributes' at gate of the castle about mid - day followed in afternoon with talks on this revolt and southern resistance against the Anglo - Normans. If anyone bothers to be motivated to organise such, please inform us of details for this posting: Commemoration Information Service.

22 Chwefror 1797: Why not ''Welsh Republic Day'' Commemoration?
Picture shows the Royal Oak Inn, Abergwaun. It was here the French signed their surrender, (Feb 25th 1797) you will find within a very interesting exhibition but of course ''Pro - Brit'' nevertheless an excellent restauraunt. So why not spend some time at the Royal Oak on the 22 February (after you have been to Garreg Wasted of course) drinking French wine and singing the 'La Marseillaise' with occaisional shouts of Vive La France! That should go down well with the ''local Jemimas''. (By the way see Ilfracoome Tourism Web Site, kind of undermines the Fisguard Jemima story, I have wrote a piece on this but will include elsewhere in time).
1 MAWRTH DYDD GWYL DEWI.
Having possibilly read my diatribes on the 'Tartan Taff' Pied Piper Parading in Caerdydd you may think I am opposed to celebrating St David's Day but no I am not. I have serious misgivings about this annual ''March of the Knights of St David'' more on which I will inform of else where as such is not entirely appropriate to this Cilmeri Commemoration Tribute blog. However, at the same time my ''weighty problem'' with this also boils down to the fact that other than the ''Tartan Taff'' just duplicating a similar Lord Mayors St David's Day Parade, it also provides excuse for the ''Good Ole Boys'' to once more meet up for yet more ''Peripheral Pint Pot Patriotism'' that in no ways advances in the slightest an 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol'. Yes of course many sound patriots would participate in this march and not just for reasons that are about knocking back pints but are more of good patriotic purpose and intention and to they I say consider much else. For starters why hold two parades in Caerdydd? and anyway if there is to be a more cultural parade why is such not being organised by Mentrau Iaith Caerdydd whom gets funding for this sort of activity and should not Yr Urdd Gobaith Cymru be involved in organising such parades throughout the land? Indeed should not patriots and especially ''Secularist Republicans'' not see their energy be best spent on organising the annual St David's Day ''Storming of the Sham Senedd'' (symbolic of course) with DEMANDS FOR WELSH INDEPENDANCE NOW! There is one other major matter for patriots to consider in this direction and it is with regard to making of St David's Day a National Bank Holiday, unbelievable you might say! but I actually have no strong oppinions on this either way although I do support the campaign to see our four Celtic Festivals made national Holidays. What concerns me if St David's day is made a National Bank Holiday with Schools closed and Kids being robbed of a St David's Day at School, then it is a great loss to a ''Welsh Childhood Experience''. It just will not be the same if it was held the day before with all the kids having to do on St David's day itself is hang around Gaming Arcades or become ''Mall Rats'' and wander around ''texting'' and eating out at McDonalds. Whatever, I think that sooner or later St David's Day will be made a Bank Holiday and if such is the case and with such in mind personally I consider it best if all patriots put their shoulders behind organising St Davids Day Celebrations in their own communities and not down in Caerdydd. Such community celebrations should also include as a grand conclusion a community Cymric pride parade with full presentation of our own Celtic - Cymric Heritage and not this rather ''Spuedo Tartan Taffery'' (what next Bag pipes?). To such good purpose I request all to look to Abertawe where in recent years the Local Authority has done great work with other bodies as local Menter Iaith, businesses and community groups in organising a Week of St David's Day events and activities which includes a 'Dragon Parade' in the Mumbles and Childrens Lantern Parade in St Thomas district. Sure! why not let us have a contribution in celebration of our St David by ethnic minories within our communities, such can be of no harm to our heritage but will help to make ''ethnic minorities'' more part of a reviving CYMRIC COMMUNITY.
6 Mawrth 1406: Death of Flintshire Freedom Fighter Hywel Gwynedd. See Embassy Glyndwr/Owain Glyndwr Communicates blog for further information and news of any commemoration activity by local 'pobl Glyndwr' patriots in the north east.
18 Mawrth 1316: Llywelyn Bren Revolt concludes at Ystrad Fellte. Wonderfull area for a weekend walking, seeing wonderful waterfalls and maybe caving? Ystrad Fellte does have a good Tafarn but it only seems to be open at time of weddings and funerals in Local church, maybe the publican will open it for groups and possibly provide meals, I don't know but you can check out?
29 Mawrth 1995: Death of Julian Cayo Evans 'Adfywiadwr Gwlatgarol' and Commandant in Chief Free Wales Army 1962 - 1969.
Old Comrades Commemoration 2005.
31 Mawrth 1282: Commemorating start of the 1282 war, why not visit Castell Caergwle and Penarleg. See posting on this subject elsewhere in this blog and also go see the COFIWN ARCHIVE Blog for information on other 1282 - 2007 commemoration events.
Ebrill 1282 War: Cymry attack and take Castell Llanbadarn, Aberystwyth.
20 Mai 2004: Death of Denis Coslet Commandant Free Wales Army.
Balchder Cymru ''White Shirts'' annual commemoration at grave of Denis Coslet FWA (Ret) and late leader of Balchder Cymru. For further information of annual commemoration at the grave of Patriot Denis Coslett contact adamann00@hotmail.com
Picture taken at Owain Glyndwr Memorial Machynlleth during 21 Mehefin 1404 Commemoration shows ''Balchder Boy'' Andrew of Llanelli wearing Denis Coslets ''Dress Uniform'' in tribute to the memory of his friend Denis who had recently died and so Andrew at this commemoration wanted to symbolically represent the Patriotic Spirit of Adfywaidar' Denis Coslett. (Yes Denis had adopted a Kilt but long before the ''Tartan Taffs'' had, I can excuse Denis but not they and just why you will know about soon enough, in good time for Dydd Dewi 2007).
31 MAI 1831: RISING UP THE RED FLAG ON HIRWAUN COMMON.
3 Mehefin 1831: Massacre at the Castle Inn Commemoration will be on Sunday 3 June 2007 (Other Commemorative Events may be held on Saturday 2 June). Anyone want to join in the rising of the Red Flag on Hirwaun Common and attend the Merthyr 1831 Insurrection Commemoration contact lewsyn.yrheliwr@ntllworld.com
16 June 1282: The Battle of Llandeilo, Cymry win notable victory over the English. Much potential for commemorative event and other celebrative activities as possibly outing to Castell Dinefwr, the Royal Seat of the Princes of Deheubarth. Maybe parade through Llandeilo with Cambria Band? or/and patriotic motorcade to view ''Carlo's Cottage'' at Myddfai via pint at Llangadog with ''Mein Host''
the well known ''Castro'' whom hopefully with others of a ''patriotic persuasion'' in the Talaith of Ystrad Tywi may organise something to commemorate this great Welsh Victory of 1282, let us not just dwell on the tragic events of Rhagfyr 1282.
21 Mehefin 1404 'Dydd y Senedd/Dydd y Coroni'' Machynlleth for information on this and other Hanes Glyndwr Commemoration Events through the year and at Corwen and Caerdrewyn on and aound 16 Medi annually. Visit Embassy Glyndwr web site and blog or contact Sian Ifan llysgenhadaeth@ntlworld.com

1 Gorffennaf 1969 Investiture:
Dydd Merthyron Abergele. For a number of years there was organised major commmemoration of the Abergele Martyrs by Cofiwn and other patriotic organisations. However, on request of their families these events were discontinued although patriots continue as individuals to visit their graves to lay wreaths. In recent years 'Balchder Cymru' have organised a commemorative event around a ''Martyrs Stone'' in Eryri and other activities else where in Cymru but surprisingly not in Caernarfon? Why not? Personally I feel it is correct to listen to the wishes of the families and thus not hold a major event in Abergele, I also consider the ''Martyrs Stone'' event a good idea but then also personally consider it as much a patriotic priority to have a Cofiwch 1 Gorffennaf 69 Commemoration parade in Caernarfon and Rally at gate of Castle. Such parade sholud be one against the English Monarchy and opposing future Investiture III, besides patriotic political slogan placards being carried, photos of the Abergele Martyrs should also be carried. Rally should conclude with placing of Ivy tributes and lighting of votive candles at gate of the castle. After all whilst the ''Martys Stone'' has it's virtues it only informs the sheep and ravens of our cause and struggle, that alone will not advance an 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol Newydd'.
Picture shows
'Adfywiadwyr Gwlatgarol' rising up
'Baner Glyndwr' over the plinth upon which the Pretender Carlo was invested as Prince of Wales at
3:00pm on 1 July 1969 at the same time three patriots were being sentanced to Imprisoment at Abertawe Crown Court for organising opposition to this insult to the Cymric Nation and people.
13 Awst 1831: The Execution of Dic Penderyn, the Labour Party usually organises commemorative events on and around the 13 Awst annually both at the Dic Penderyn plaque on Cardiff Market Hall. Further commemorative event is held at the grave of Dic Penderyn in St Mary's Church, Port Talbot.
See photo below taken on 175th anniversary of Dic Penderyn's execution.
Dic Penderyn's grave in St Mary's Church, Port Talbot.
16 Medi 1400. 'Dydd Glyndwr' commemorates of course that historic day when our Nation's ''founding fathers'' proclaimed Owain Glyndwr 'Tywysog Cymru' and detirmined to make war of national liberation. These events took place at Llys Glyndyfrdwy near Corwen and not at Machynlleth as even a number of patriots are confused about, I advise they visit Owain Glyndwr Communicates blog for clarification on 'Hanes Glyndwr' and for details of annual 16 Medi 'Dydd Glyndwr' celebrative activities visit the Embassy Glyndwr web site. See photos below:
Sian Ifan of Embassy Glyndwr reads the 16 Medi 1400 declaration at Llys Glyndyfrdwy, Corwen annually made by Embassy staff on the 16 Medi. It is at Corwen that patriots who regard themselves as 'pobl Glyndwr' hold their annual national commemoration although many other celebrative 'Dydd Glyndwr' events and activities are held throughout the land on and around this chief patriotic commemoration of the year.
Carn Rhyddid 1400 Caerdrewyn: Set up by Cofiwn some years ago as focus for their annual walk to highest point of the mountain overlooking Corwen. If you have never made this walk then do it at least once in your life with a small stone from your community to add to the above Cairn. Full history regards this Hanes Glyndwr site will be found on Embassy Glyndwr's Web Site and Owain Glyndwr communicates blog.
Hydref/Ocober 21 marks both anniversary of opening of Tryweryn - Cwm Celyn Reservior in 1965 and the Aberfan disaster of 1966. It would not be appropriate to hold political commemorations at Aberfan but I would hope patriots visit the cemetary and memorial there at least once in their lives. I am suprised however that patriots do not hold an annual political patriotic commemoration at Tryweryn - Cwm Celyn Reservior on or around 21 Hydref? Why Not!
That famous slogan outside Aberystwyth.
4 Tachwedd 1839: The Newport Rising. Amazingly but true a Bwrdd yr Iath Cymru Calender of historical events worth marking with festivals forgot to give the Newport Rising a mention but then they give no attention at all to any ''Hwntw History''. See my piece on the teaching of our history which I am including in 'LAST POST' also being the LAST POSTING TO THIS C.C. 40 th TRIBUTE BLOG.
Cofiwn ''home made'' silk screened car sticker commemorating the Southern ''Revolutionary Years'' 1831 - 1839. Some have thought Cofiwn to have been only concerned about medieval Welsh History so this sticker may suprise you as will the little known fact that it was Cofiwn whom initiated the first of the annual Merthyr Rising 1831 Commemorations as below poster makes clear.
In the days before personal computors this poster notice was duplicated on A4 paper, one colour. Please note my fourthcoming ALTERNATIVE NATIONALIST MOVEMENT AND STRUGGLE - HISTORY ARCHIVE WEB SITE will include an excellent gallery of 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol' and other posters produced by patriotic movements and societies from 1963 up to the 1990's and beyound?
COFIWN 1282: I suggest you regularly visit the Cofiwn History Archive blog for information on any commemorative events and activities to mark the 725th anniversary of 1282 held during the year. 2007 also marks the 25th anniversary of the great 1982 Cofiwn commemorative Rally at Cilmeri to mark the 700th anniversary, though for 2007 Antur Ysbryd Cofiwn will be focusing commemorative event at Aberedw and not Cilmeri. However, there shall be an 'Adfywiad Gwladgarol' contribution to the annual traditional Cilmeri commemoration and whilst I consider what form such contribution will take how's about another Eagle, an 'Adfywiad Eagle'. I am well past the inclination to take up Silk Screen printing again and anyway with but a small flat there is no room to carry out such artistic endeavour, so can you? Who amongst you is up for having a go at some 'Adfywiad Art' attempting to reproduce below as a poster to use on placards for the 2007 - 41st Cilmeri Commemoration and a march on Builth Wells??????????
Adfywiad Art: The Eagle has Landed at Cilmeri 2006?
